When we start the next development cycle, we're going to move all of the HTML into the templates if possible. At the same time, we can add ALT tags and maybe WIDTH and HEIGHT tags. I understand the benefits of WIDTH & HEIGHT, but it would be a huge pain for people who just want to customize the look and feel with new images to be constrained to a particular size.

It shouldn't be hard to use existing strings from the language files for the ALT tags.

Oh, the language substitution stuff reminds me of something... From
the change log it appears that there was once the intention of having
language-specific image directories but it appears that this didn't
actually make it into the code. Has this idea been dropped permanently
or forgotten about or what?

I wasn't aware that that existed. When we redo the templates, I'll be sure to include a macro for the current language so that templates can pull different graphics for different languages if necessary.

If someone can redo the few graphics that include text (just the login?), we can try to incorporate them into the next build.

Who did the original graphics? Can we get information on the font used? Should we just switch to graphics that don't include ANY text?
