Mail to non-existant accounts will get silently deleted. See the vpopmail FAQ #32.
The developers of qmailadmin and vpopmail would love to have someone compile and maintain an actual FAQ that we could post to the list every month, and link to a live copy on the web in the footer of every email...
Any volunteers?
