hi all

i would like to know your opinion about letting mail
users, use qmailadmin to change their passwords. i was
told, users were not supposed to access qmailadmin for
any reason and that qmailadmin should only be used by
the postamster.

i mean, was qmailadmin made with the user in mind in a
way the user himself can access qmailadmin for
administrate is own account? :) or... is the user not
supposed to know qmailadmin exists at all?

i already figured that if you access qmailadmin as a
normal user ( a user that only wants to send and
receive mail), you will only be shown the possibility
to change your password (it makes all sense obviously).

should i give access throuhg qmailadmin to users, so
they can change their passwords?

or should qmailadmin be a tool only for the postmaster?

the login page by default assumes the user postmaster.
is there a way to change this default to none at all?

thanks a lot for reading this and for your time :)

unix is user friendly. it's just selective when
choosing
friends.
