Can you help please.
I have not been able to run qmail and vpomail even in
my mandrake 9.2 for two weeks now even though it was
running smoothly for a long time. This problem
happened when I updated to
qmail-toaster-1.03-1.0.15mdk.i586.rpm and installing
all the recent rpms working with it.
I am receiving this error: #86 9923 0.0 0.0 0 0
pts0 Z 11:46 0:00 [qmail-send] <defunct>
after going a ps aux | grep qmail.
Why am I getting the above result with #86 on it. When
I do a killall 9923, am receiving a message saying:
9923: no process killed. What can I do to kill this Z
[qmail-send] <defunct> error ?
I don't know why the above error is there when the
first line below shows: qmaill 5031 0.0 0.0 1444
276 pts0 S 11:35 0:00 /usr/bin/multilog t
/var/log/qmail/send shows that send is running ok.

The message I am geting in /var/log/qmail/send is:
alert: cannot start: unable to switch to queue
directory.
What could be the problem? When all the permissions in
queue directory provided below seem to be ok.

Can you help me to know what is going on?
Every time I enter a process to kill it, I am told it
is not a process and therefore it cannot be killed.
I will appreciate getting your quick help.
