Only that one file had been altered from the original so I made sure parms matched others in the same folder.

Check your qmailadmin source tree for changes.
e.g. make a diff against a clean source tree.
And please tell us which version you are using.
Okay, now I saw that you are using 1.2.3 -- But you know that that's pretty old.
1.2.9 (stable) and 1.2.11 (devel) are the current versions.
Agreed. If I had more time allocated for the project and were more familiar with Qmail, I'd do the upgrade. However, and I know this is probably blasphemy, but all I know is Sendmail. I do like what I've read of Qmail and will endeavor to learn it.
