Hi guys

Thanks for all the help. I ended up un installing krb5-devel and re-installing it and all is well.

Dean

Ok here is a list of all the dependencies involved. Ensure that these
are all installed first. If the compile fails again, attach the error
from the rpm-tmp file as stated here: "Bad exit status from

yum install crontabs expect freetype freetype-devel gd gd-devel gdbm

Hi Erik

Thanks for the advice but not the problem.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] pub]# rpm -qa | grep tcp_wrappers
tcp_wrappers-7.6-34

Any other ideas ?

Regards
Dean

Erik Espinoza wrote:

Looks like you may not have tcp_wrappers package installed. If you are
using Fedora Legacy, just type yum install tcp_wrappers.

Thanks,
Erik

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the hard work Nick. I emailed previously about qmail and
courier not compliling on redhat 9 I have attached the output from both
failures , hopefully someone can shed some light. I have figured out
that it must have something to do with ssl and kerebos here is a list of
currenlt installed files.

rpm -qa | grep ssl
openssl-perl-0.9.7a-20.2
openssl096b-0.9.6b-15
mod_ssl-2.0.40-21.17.legacy
openssl-0.9.7a-20.2
openssl096-0.9.6-25.9
openssl-devel-0.9.7a-20.2
[EMAIL PROTECTED] stable]# rpm -qa | grep krb
krb5-libs-1.2.7-14
krb5-devel-1.2.7-14
krb5-workstation-1.2.7-14
krbafs-devel-1.1.1-9
pam_krb5-1.60-1
krbafs-utils-1.1.1-9
krbafs-1.1.1-9

I use fedora-legacy to keep my machine updated. Unfortunately I am not
in a position to upgrade this machine. From what I read there is no
"safe" way to go to centos so I have to replace the machine. Not really
an option right now.

Here is a list of my toaster packages.
qmail-pop3d-toaster-1.03-1.0.9
horde-toaster-2.2.3-1.0.8
daemontools-toaster-0.76-1.2.6

ucspi-tcp-toaster-0.88-1.2.6
ezmlm-cgi-toaster-0.53.324-1.2.6
maildrop-toaster-devel-1.8.1-1.2.6

Thanks

Dean

Hi Dean,

Did you make the following soft link:

   ln -s /usr/kerberos/include/krb5.h /usr/kerberos/include/com_err.h \
   /usr/kerberos/include/profile.h /usr/include/

If this is not a fix for you, please tell me again what message you see
when the compile fails.

Regards,

Nick
