[qmailtoaster] bare line feeds, rejection, then total rejection

Is there a way to make qmailtoaster accept bare line feeds?   I have a Shoretel VOIP system that is generating bare line feeds in administration emails. Shoretel has been notified but has not fixed this problem. The emails are then sent through 2003 IIS. 2003 IIS does not convert the bare line feeds.   I'm assuming that we cannot expect the world to change to 822bis section 2.3 overnight, as noted in, http://cr.yp.to/docs/smtplf.html   So what do I need to do to get the bare LFs in, or how can I fix the 2003 IIS to convert the bare LFs?   I'll offer this imaginary peanut I found on the floor to the first person with a workable solution.
