Thanks for that method Michael,

I just fumbled through the plugins already included in the squirrelmail package of qmailtoaster and found POP3 Fetch Mail!

Tried it and imported a 500MB mailbox without a sweat.

Technique was to use Mozilla Thunderbird to imap to the old mailbox.
Then move all email to the Inbox.
Then use the POP3 Fetch Mail in Squirrelmail of the new qmailtoaster account.
Import everything.
Done.

I love qmailtoaster more everyday.

Regards,
Edwin

In response to #2 below, I recall using something called (I think) perfect maildir a verrry long time ago. I just googled it and came back with: http://home.uninet.ee/~ragnar/2md/ If this is the same script, I seem to recall running it one mbox at a time, and I think the main issue I experienced was that the date and times on the messages were not preserved in the conversion, but the script may have improved since. Obviously your mileage may vary.

Erik also has a link to a script: http://www.kabewm.com/dl/qmail//maildir.pl which may prove to be better.

Regarding #3:
- I found the 4.0 CentOS install to work nicely, but see my last post re: 4.2. - I had to add a trailing slash to the admin-toaster alias in /etc/httpd/conf/toaster.conf (no biggie)
 - I had to install mod_ssl to enable SSL access to the admin controls

All in all it was an easy install, and so far I'm very pleased with the project, its authors and the supportive community.

Hello,

I am running Ensim 4 (sendmail) in one server.
I just finished setting up qmail toaster on a new server.
I have around 50 domains to transfer from Ensim 4 (sendmail)

Questions:

#1 - Does Qmail have a Remote POP facility aka fetchmail?
#2 - Is there a utility to convert my sendmail mailboxes to qmaildirs?
#3 - Any practical tips?

I tried using Mozilla-Thunderbird's imap client and transferred email imap to imap but it takes sooo long.
