theres a difference between clients and servers. Servers still use 25 to send and receive, and as far as I know, they dont try other ports.

Sorry to bring this up again, but considering supporting port 587 is becoming more and more of an issue with major ISPs starting to filter port 25 (non-authenticated email). a) would it be possible to provide support for port 587 in a future revision of QMT? b) how to implement such support in current installations? c) this is an issue that won't fade away, unfortunately.
