look in /var/log/qmail/clamd/current logfile, if your clamav checking e-mails. Look in /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log if freshclam is updating your virus database.
If simscan blocks e-mails with viruses depends on your simscan settings. In default qmailtoaster, it blocks. If you want to see, what simscan does, add string SIMSCAN_DEBUG="2" to the line in /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp and run "qmailctl cdb". It switches simscan debug messages ON. Then look at /var/log/qmail/smtp/current. You will se interesting messages in this logfile.
