Replying to my own post, perhaps there was not enough information to
justify a response to the first one.
I have a second error message, related to vmysql:
[error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] vmysql: can't read settings from
/home/vpopmail/etc/vpopmail.mysql, referer:
http://mail.(example.com)/mail/vqadmin/toaster.vqadmin.
I understand that this is a permissions issue, so I changed the
permissions listed below as such:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 103091 Jan 31 00:31 toaster.vqadmin
-r--r--r-- 1 vpopmail vchkpw 864 Jan 31 00:31 vqadmin.acl
Which had no effect on the situation.

I am using the latest version of qmail toaster (as of Feb. 2 2006) with
Fedora Core 4.
I used the fdr40.sh script to ensure that all of the dependencies were
resolved, and I've run qmail toaster for some time now, so I have some
familiarity with the internals, but this has me stumped.
I can provide any other information necessary, and will summarize.
