Per,
Assuming that you're asking creating and viewing folders from an email
client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird etc., you should
have an option under server preferences that allows you to select a
"root folder path".
If you type "INBOX" (all caps) in this field, your folders should no
longer show up as subfolders of the Inbox.
