This sounds like a misconfiguration in your Apache.

Usually https is done on port 443. Not sure there is enough
information in this e-mail to help you properly diagnose this.

Does it happen in more than one type of browser (say IE and Firefox)?
What does your logs show?
Are you using a proxy?
What distribution are you using?
What squirrelmail are you updating to?
