Thanks Erik and Harry

I have set up a virtual server in vmware using fedora core 4 and the instructions on qmailrocks seem to be close to what I'm after, with a few changes it should be spot on, then I'll move it over to its permanent home.

cheers

Hey Harry,

Although this is a good solution in some cases, Glen may have other
requirements such as single sign on.

Glen, if the account thing is a hard requirement, then the
QmailToaster isn't the solution for you. If Harry's solution is
alright, then you should have no problems.

The QmailToaster is a packaged solution, and as such is not easily
de-coupled. It is possible to interject functionality. Either way,
good luck.

Thanks,
Erik

how do I disable vpop so that I can just use the unix home
directories ( /home/someone/Maildir/). I only have one domain and
want to make the server as simple as possible, i.e.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] goes to /home/my_email/Maildir/cur/. I'm
currently getting mail from [EMAIL PROTECTED], how would I change it so
that I'm getting mail from [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Install qmailtoaster, set up your domain as a virtual domain, and
move along. Having it 'simple' isn't the problem, just set it up
properly.
