[qmailtoaster] IMAP Directory Help

I just completed an installation of the latest qmail-toaster suite on Fedora Core 5 and have everything working fine. However,  when sending email from an IMAP account using Thunderbird 1.5.0.2 the mail is sent but TB hangs trying to copy the mail to the Sent folder. This is also the case when saving to the Drafts folder. While troubleshooting the issue above, I found that I cannot create new folders that are outside of the Inbox as I have always been able to do using Dovecot on my existing server. And, if I send mail using the pre-existing Dovecot server's Sent folder the message DOES get saved to that server or to Sent on the Local system. This makes me think that the problem lies with courier-imap or with vpopmail but I can't seem to hone in on where exactly the problem can be resolved.
