Is this an existing install you are trying to put qmailtoaster on top of? MySQL apparently wants to see root with a password, or perhaps another user that already has rights to grant permissions that is already established. The default MySQL install is user root with no password, which I believe is what the install script assumes. Hope this sheds a bit of light!
