        That's exactly my point.  For your requirements, it would make sense
to build, and tweak QMAIL for your needs rather than rely on a series of
packages.  It can all be scripted and automated for production
updates/deployment.

        Additional benefits include the ability to patch with stuff such as
the high volume, et cetera.

        http://www.qmail.org/ has tons of docs.
        http://www.google.com/ would have covered all of this.

        That's how I do it.  Qmailtoaster is for enduser relay and fetching,
little more.

        Generally, QMAIL's concurrencyremote by default is set to 20.  It's
maximum as set by compiletime is 120.

        I am not sure what qmailtoaster defaults to.

        Our application sends out a lot of mail and 120 is default.  I do
not know the statistics off of the top of my head, YMMV.
