Just to be a bit more clear, I used 2 mailserver to determine what was happening. None of the two servers had the SPF set up. As you said with the level 3 it was supposed to accept the email (and before a week or so) all mails were beeing recieved between this two email servers. Last week I started having problems and was a bit confused, after I started checking the logs I noticed about the SPF (something I didn't know about until then) So I added in My DNSs the SPF registry and the mail started to be accepted again.

I am very greatful for all the help and I think I understand a bit more about the SPF, and I have lowered the SPF value

Thanks again.

Guillermo,

The default setting for SPF in the toaster (and most SPF programs that I've
noticed) is a level "3", meaning that it will only actually block mail if
the domain they are sending from is set to "-all" (full fail). In which
case, they should contact their mail ISP to adjust their SPF setting for
their domain so their email server can send to your server. If they do NOT
have an spf, level 3 will not block their mail. That said, they probably DO
have an spf, and should probably adhere to it. ;)

(some of this is repeat from below)

The file that controls the level of spf behavior for your server is here:
/var/qmail/control/spfbehavior

However, I'm very sure that it is not recommended to change this. If
anything, don't go higher than 3, or lower than 2.

Here's more info on the different settings you can use.

Subject: Re: [qmailtoaster] Help with SPF problem

Sorry... I should have eliminated the first part, but what I want to do is
to disable the SPF validation, as a lot of my clients have been having
problems recieving from other emails. Most of them because they don't have
the SPF. ( I have started adding the spf to all my domains) but most of the
ppl that are sending to my server don't have any idea/possibility to add the
SPF to their DNSs (as they don't manage them and don't understand as they
are not technical ppl) and blame us that we have a huge problem as we are
rejecting the email (because their servers don't say that they are the
problem)

So is there a way to disable the SPF validation?

Hello everyone, I have checked the following messages in my logs and my server is rejecting because of 451 SPF. Is there a way to disable it. I know it helps to do antispam, but a lot of my clients have problems with their contacts beacuse most of the domains do not have the

SPF.

Thanks for your help
