Close! They were combined since aliases didn't work right. A forward
points to an email address, an alias used to point to a path. The
problem? The path would deliver to the path without following the
users .qmail file. This meant that user level forwards, vacations, etc
would be bypassed.

They've been combined into the same thing, since they really were.
