Samuel,

I'm afraid I'm not much help with your dependency issues.
I can address other items though.

Suggestions:
   a) Make /etc/courier directory backup too.

I've added this to the qmt-newmodel.sh script.

b) Allow "--target $ARCH" into all rpmbuild commands (for example, when I can, I compile into i686 platform, not 386, I only use 386 for compiled packages, but manually compiled, I prefer optimize it.

The qmt-newmodel.sh script automatically detects and uses the appropriate $ARCH value.

   c) Separate download process, build, install process.

The qmt-newmodel.sh script does this too.

d) Test if the package is downloaded yet (I don't want to download again when I aborted an ungrade process.

The qmt-newmodel.sh script does this too. It also check many other things, like if the package is already built or already installed.

   e) Allow distro, arch, etc... parameters.

All parameters are automatically detected and set appropriately in the new script. I think you'll like it.
