yes it used to work.

What I have in /etc/cron.d is:



this is what I have in /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg
HtmlDir: /var/www/mrtg
ImageDir: /var/www/mrtg
LogDir: /var/lib/mrtg
ThreshDir: /var/lib/mrtg

and /var/lib/mrtg/mrtg.ok
is empty

any thoughts?

That cron job is in /etc/cron.d as mrtg. Make sure that mrtg is installed on your machine. Did it work before?
