Any reason not to make local.cf %config(noreplace) ? Just did an rpm -Uvh

Have a backup, but still seems it would be preferrable to have a .rpmnew
file for manual review instead of just automatically overwriting the old
one?
I completely agree. I think the overwriting of files with no .rpmnew is
a really bad idea.
I guess I could look into submitting a patch for this via Mantis :) That's
what open source is all about right?

FWIW, the new upgrade script (see
http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Upgrading) handles backup and restore
of configuration files automatically. At this point, though, it only does
upgrading from the main web site. I'm guessing that you needed a version
from the development site.
Maybe I should enhance the upgrade script to optionally grab newer versions
from the devel site. What do people think of this feature?
