Agreed with Eric - Centos is a better choice. It's built from Fedora
Core, but then modified, or as I like to say, 'fixed'.

I have no complaints or problems with it, as opposed to earlier use
of FC.

I'll give it a shot. As far as i can see, centos is modified RH enterprise linux, not modified fedora?

Yes. CentOS is essentially the same thing as RHEL. They simply change the name, but it's built from otherwise the same sources.
