Hi Everyone:
I would like to setup active/passive clustered servers that are
connected to a data array. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have
instructions for doing so with qmail toaster?
Thanks,
There have been several users that have done some of this - I've build
clusters where several machines accept email and allow POP/webmail
clients (using a backend machine as a mysql/NFS server). A lot of others
have built machines using heartbeat as well, so if the machine fails the
backup will take over. Depends on your needs. If it's redundancy, then
heartbeat is the easiest. If you need raw power, the cluster is good for
1M or more messages a day (this really only benefits ISPs).
