I've been running qmail in a small company environment (<20 people) for
about 10 years on a linux box. It's never crashed or died on me. It is
so trouble free I only ever touch it to add users or aliases.
I haven't used the Toaster in production yet but if the other pieces are
half as reliable as the qmail part it's a no brainer.

I am basically familiar with Linux by now, though I am by no means
calling myself an expert, as I've never had to admin a Linux box.
I've gotten the partners to the point of acceptance of open source and
we have several things in office that are done with open source
programs, but nothing this large or critical. (They mostly see things
from a cost point of view, though my part-time partner and I are
hooked on the principles.)
The catch is, before they agree to something like this, they want
references of companies around our size that use it in a production
environment. (They preferably from the legal industry, banks, or
architectural firms... But I'm not going to be picky at this point!)
So, can anyone give me (either on-list or privately) a reference of
it's use in their company? How they liked it, how often the system
went down (scheduled maintenance or unscheduled), etc. I'd be very
grateful to them for their input as well as being able to move forward
with the project...
