I believe you are right that cdb would be faster than Mysql. However, Mysql's differences would be that it can handle a much much higher volume of requests at a time, and also allows updates to the database in-between requests without interrupting anything. Although, that can also depend on how Bayes is implemented into Mysql and if the person(s) who did said implementation are mysql-competent.
