I found that annoying too. FWIW, following is a reply from Tonino (chkuser
author, really nice guy) to a post I made to the chkuser list (original post
at bottom):

Hi Eric,

while I'm thinking since a lot of time about "extending" the error code,
including the specific address in error, I have to suggest mainly to disable
chkuser when users are using the server as relay.

Problem is not chkuser or smtp in general. Most of clients (from Eudora to
Outlook) stop when they receive the first error.
I find more right they send all messages to all users, and only after they
receive a message back about the wrong address.

Personally, I have a dedicated IP for a relay, and on that relay chkuser is
disabled.

Version 2.0.9 (ready since a lot of time, but I've no time to write/update
documentation) has a dedicated variable for excluding CHKUSER, as well as a
dedicated variable for accepting only authenticated senders.

I'll try to put in 2.0.10 the feature you request.

Ciao,

Tonino
