I have been having problems with sending mail through my mail server
over the past week. I keep researching the 256 error status that I was
getting in the smtp log, but that turns out not to be the problem. I
finally tracked it down to a rbl that was not responding anymore. Is
there anyway to have a better error message than 256 in the smtp log? I
guess I am going to have to write a script to ping the rbl's on a daily
basis to make sure they are still responding, so I don't experience this
problem again.
