Hey EE (or anyone),

Let me see if I understand this right (I don't think I "get it" yet). All
incoming messages, whether they're coming from a remote server (MTA) or a
client (MSA), go through simscan (via tcprules settings). When a submission
is authorized, RELAYCLIENT is set, so simscan doesn't invoke spamassassin?

Is this documented anywhere?

I'm looking at /usr/share/doc/simscan-1.3.1/README, and I'm a little
confused. It says that clamdscan is invoked unconditionally, and clamav is
run depending on the settings in simcontrol.

What's the difference between clamdscan and clamav?

Where does something explain how RELAYCLIENT affects simscan's processing?

Thanks for bearing with me on this.
