Hello,
I've been trying to get my mail server to do more than 1 million emails
per day. I've set remoteconcurrency to 509 and would like to make
it 2045 if at all possible.
Server is dual pentium 4's 2 gigs of ram with 2 gigs for swap and
80gig sataII drive Running Qmail toaster.
I was told I have enough bandwidth for this so that's not an issue.
I've written a custom perl script to send the mail. And I'm not sure
if I should use perl sendmail commands or qmail-inject.
But here is my problem. When I load up the queue, it just dies. I have
to do a qmailctl doqueue to keep the queue running. And then qmailctl
doqueue a few more times to get the concurrency up to 509.
I really don't think the concurrency is working. I've checked netstat
and when I run qmhandle -s to see stats, I only see maybe 8-10 messages
leaving the server at 1 time. Shouldn't it be sending 509 messages from the
queue at each instance?
Well thanks for anyones insight on this issue. I really need to find a
receipe for a bulk mailer machine.
