    That is an older version, and does not use the simcontrol file.
    You're going to want to add an exclusion to your tcp.smtp file for the
    relaying server. You can turn off the clam scanning that way.

Can't say whether or not upgrading just simscan will work or not - it hasn't been tried, much less tested, to the best of my knowledge. You can add an exclusion in your tcp.smtp file just like the one for webmail. Say your IP is 192.168.1.1: 192.168.1.1:allow,BADMIMETYPE="",BADLOADERTYPE="M",RELAYCLIENT="",RBLSMTPD=""

Then rebuild your tcp.smtp:
qmailctl cdb

  chmod 644 /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp*

That should stop it from doing virus/spam checks on the server located at 192.168.1.1. The qmailctl cdb command may not work on that version. If it does not, do this instead: tcprules /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp.cdb /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp.tmp < /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp
