if I use qmail -inject the mail shows in the mailboxes, but sending from outside is not working. I have also not received delivery failure errors from the clients I am sending from. qmail appears to be swallowing the mail

the opinion of qmail-send is interesting to know..... if a mail is delivered he does know.. the problem is that the mail file does not get written, or it's written to disk but the mail doesnt get downloaded by pop, imap client?
