Hi, If you run ifconfig and everything looks good, then do (locally):
$ host mail.yourdomain.com and it returns the correct IP address. It should work. It's likely a dns issue. If your dns is configured correctly, check your TTL values to see if the root servers have had enough time to refresh. Be sure you also change httpd.conf if you are running virtual domains.
