That's where the problem is being run into. If the domain is on machine B, and the user is trying to send on machine A, the DNS record for the domain is pointing it to A, so it doesn't know where to go. I'm assuming machine A is a relay for B. You may try using smtroutes to solve this:

Or have the user use machine B as his SMTP server.
