All,

Since there is no longer a 'Minimal Install' option for CentOS 5, you
may experience challenges installing your base system. I don't like the
idea of keeping track of all 6 (six!!) CDROMS, and since there's no
ServerCD ISO yet, here's how to install CentOS 5 using just CD1.

At the CD boot splash screen, type 'linux text'

Follow the prompts until you get to the step titled "Package Selection".
De-select EVERYTHING, and check the "Customize software selection" box.
On the "Package Group Selection" screen, De-select EVERYTHING. Proceed
as you normally would.

Upon initial reboot, you will be greeted with the contents of the
familiar 'setup' console program, where you can perform step 2 (Disable
selinux manually) on Nick's instruction checklist. You'll find those
settings under the "Firewall Configuration" section.

You may now proceed to step 3.

Thanks for that. Can you look and see when a server CD is supposed to be released?
Thanks.
