I take it you restarted qmail? In which case it will be dns related. I don't have the djbdns module installed on my QMT so I can't really say. Basically, find your domains zone file which is probably in /var/djbdns/tinydns/root/data. and add the key. I'm not sure that is a key issue though.
What do your pop3 logs indicate? tail /var/log/qmail/pop3/current just after you do a send and receive, it may give more clues.
