If I recall correctly is something like this:
(remote -> local):
tcpserver ->
rblsmtp/spmadyke ->
qmail-smtpd ( CHKUSER/tcphosts/SPF/bad*/DK ) ->
simscan (clamav/SA) -> #message goes in /var/qmail/simscan/
qmail-queue -> # msg goes to queue
qmail-send ->
qmail-lspawn ->
qmail-local # msg goes tu user maildir
(remote -> remote)
tcpserver ->
rblsmtp/spmadyke ->
qmail-smtpd ( CHKUSER/tcphosts/SPF/bad*/DK ) ->
simscan (clamav/SA) -> #message goes in /var/qmail/simscan/
qmail-queue -> # msg goes to queue
qmail-rspawn ->
qmail-remote #connect ot remote server
if you are using submission then:
tcpserver ->
qmail-smtpd ( CHKUSER/tcphosts/SPF/bad*/DK ) ->
simscan (clamav) -> #message goes in /var/qmail/simscan/
qmail-queue -> # msg goes to queue
qmail-rspawn ->
qmail-remote #connect ot remote server
but you cloud get a better ideia if google for "qmail big picture"

2007/6/27, Phil Leinhauser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Can anyone list the order of operations for how incoming mail is processed
in QMT?
Specifically I want to know, if I have both a local domain with users AND
a domain relay for the same domain, if a message comes in what will happen
to it? I will be migrating users from another postoffice application and
want to know if I can preset all the users accounts but still forward any
messages to the original server until I'm ready to cut over.
I guess to expand this, if anyone knows off the top of their head, the
whole order of all processes; RBL, Spam, Clam, delivery, etc... It would
help in further troubleshooting later on I'm sure.
Thanks,
Phil
