Hi Rich: There's a nice set of scripts called QmailToaster-Plus that is pretty popular (and VERY nice, also) around here.
There's an entry in the Wiki about the whole process: http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Upgrading In my case, though, i prefer to update package by package via RPM as soon as the are released, but this is a risky process. Upgrading QT in general, could be a (sometimes) risky process, so i suggest you to take an idle box, test the process of upgrading, getting comfortable with it before releasing it to the production machine. Just my 2 cents. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* | David Sanchez Martin | [EMAIL PROTECTED] Administrador de Sistemas | http://www.e2000.es E2000 Nuevas Tecnologias | | E2000 Organizacion de Empresarios | Tel : +34 902 19 61 77 Mediadores de Seguros | | Agustin Bravo Esquina Calle C | 33120 Pravia Asturias Spain | | *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* -----Mensaje original----- De: Richard Starkie [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Enviado el: jueves, 12 de julio de 2007 14:42 Para: [email protected] Asunto: [qmailtoaster] NEWBIE : Automating updates Hi All Wonder if anyone can help me, I am investigating a way of automating the spam assasin and clam av updates on the server. Unfortunately being relatively new to Linux command line I am unsure where to turn to accomplish this, I would expect to use crontab to do it, but what scripts to run, or how to get chrontab to do it I have no idea. Looking forward to your advise Rich --------------------------------------------------------------------- QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted <http://www.vr.org> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
