Does I need to have my local DNS server in my private
Network(192.168.1.x/24) or can I use my Service providers DNS server IP in
Qmail toaster?

My qmail toaster is placed under a firewall with private IP and allowed
related ports like 25,110,143 in my firewall. My domain was registered with
DirectNIC and later I can add my MX record in their DNS server

Right now I wa testing Qmail Toaster ISO with non existent domain like
test.com. Once I am familiar with QMT I am going to place it as production
server and going to change the domain to my valid domain.

Regards,
Naveen

I have actually tried this, and it failed. qmail's documentation
explicitly states that it does not look at /etc/hosts
