He was trying to send from domain2 to domain3. I have a sneaking suspicion that when the mysql files were deleted, something bad happened(tm). And since he was sending from domain2 to domain3.com (which is owned by namecheap.com) it may have actually been delivered. Just not to his machine since domain3.com was not listed in the locals file.
