I had the same problem last week (built a new backup server). The
problem was the hosts file. Make sure (in etc/hosts), you have a line
pointing to localhost, ie;
127.0.0.1 localhost

I finally got everything running over last week. did a full rebuild
of the server via rpm -e's and re-running the download and install
script. I noticed on the install that the toaster now comes with
squirrelmail? I had a folder already named webmail and have since
deleted it. i'm getting an IMAP login failure still though. Could
someone show me their config.php so i can see what i'm missing out of
my /etc/squirrelmail/config.php ?
