You can rsync the /home/vpopmail/* and other important files (/var/qmail/control/*, etc.) if you want. I have a backup script on my site (v2gnu.com) that will be a little more automated - it's out of date though. The most recent version is in the QTP package (qtp.qmailtoaster.com). Restore scripts are in both places as well, with QTP being the newest.
