Hello All , I am running Mandiva 2007.1 spring with QMT since from last 7 months without a problem . I hosted it on ISP static Ip given to us . I purchased a domain name too and pointing the MX record to MY QMT of mandriva . we have 100 accounts running well.
Then I installed PHPBB Forum on the same server and It asks me to provide the valid Email id for sending the mail to the users for becoming Member of the forum So i supplied [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now one day i received the mail from rediffspam mail service . ========================== Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mydomain.com I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: ( Its email of the user who wants to become a member of our Public free LUG Gp") Connected to 59.160.240.132 but greeting failed. Remote host said: 553 Message from 121.246.X.X rejected - see http://spamblock.outblaze.com/121.246.X.X I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long. =============================== when i read this link http://spamblock.outblaze.com/121.246.X.X It said my QMT is doing spamming with this via this Ip address , which is provided by my ISP for my mandiva Server. Now when i asked the postmaster of this site http://spamblock.outblaze.com/ he replied as follows : Thank you for contacting the outblaze.com postmaster desk. Please forward to your office email admin or IT staff. Your IP is blocked as a dialup or broadband IP on which you are running a mailserver. For every single legitimate mail from someone running his own mailserver on such an IP [whether static or dynamic] IP, we get several thousand copies of spam and virus mail from broadband IPs. Therefore, we instituted a policy of denying mail sent direct from dialup/broadband IP addresses. Please set your mailserver to send out mail through a regular mailserver, such as your dialup/cable/DSL ISP's mailserver (or any other mailserver which lets you use SMTP authentication to relay mail). This is called "smarthost" in most mailserver documentation and once you do this, your email should get through. Instructions on setting up smarthosting using several commonly available mailservers can be found on the MAPS website - http://www.mail-abuse.com/an_rteoutgoing.html regards [EMAIL PROTECTED] =========================== Now how can i solve this Porblem , or do i need to remove the QMT postmaster email id from phpBB Forum settings and use any gmail email id . ============ Plz help me as i want to run my own qmail server QMT and people shud at the same time respect my sever instead of banning It.
