On the Qmail.org website <http://www.qmail.org/top.html> I read this:

I try to convince some developers to recompile with this patch included,
so that outgoing SMTP is on a defined IP address, especially important
on machines with more IP addresses.

The question is if there were any technical reasons why this patch was
not included in qmail-toaster? Any security issues that would have
discouraged to include it?
