While 12 is probably a bit too lenient, I think 2 is a little too tight. 5 is more reasonable ttbomk.
In addition, by making this adjustment, you've done nothing to lighten the load on the machine, since these are deleted after they're received and scanned. Another way of tightening up spam control is via RBLs, which reject messages before they're even transmitted (saving bandwidth and processing resources). Look into adding a few more RBLs to your blacklists, and watch the spam go down while the load on the toaster is relieved. It's the best of both worlds. ;) P.S.
