Do the logs show anything?
The logs don't show anything wrong that I can see.
I would think that the fact that SquirrelMail does not exhibit the delay
in sending, while email programs do should be a clue. But I don't know
what that points to. What steps in the chain are different for
SquirrelMail users?
Not really without seeing some logs. It'll be shooting in the dark
without seeing some of those.
Look in the active queue. I've seen a case or two where a user was
trying to send a 50M file and it was hanging in the queue, causing all
the other to also hang. Looking at your queue will also tell you
whether or not you're reaching the max on your queue. You could also be
hitting the ceiling on your mysql sessions.
