I have tried again - again
this time ( and I think this is the last hurdle )
it fails with

bind conflicts with djbdns-extcache-1.05-1.0.5.i686
djbdns-localcache conflicts with djbdns-extcache-1.05-1.0.5.i686

for what it is worth -- in my org install I was not using djbdns ..
as i recall i commented out the djbdns from the org EE install script.
