Hi Antonio!
How can i test if the RAM is enough and the hard-disk are OK for Imap Server?
I can tell you the CPU is working about 0,3 / 0,6 %.

Thank you, cheers!
Francesco

Hi, I would make sure about that RAM... You said "I think it is ok", so you
better test it...

And check hard disks also...

About anything with the config I can't help you. I think you would have to
provide more info on how you installed it.

Assunto: [qmailtoaster] Strange Imap slowdown problems

Hello,

i have a very strange situation... an HP Server Proliant , SAS drives and 8Gb
RAM, CentOS 5 Linux release and about 40/50 Imap mailboxes.

The mailServer is in a DMZ zone.

When lots of people are connected, imap client slowdown, and i can see this
problem by typing: telnet localhost 143... it waits for about 60/90 seconds
before appearing the Imap Service banner.

I have also raised up the max per Ip and max daemons, and i have the
-nodnslookup in order to avoid reverse DNS resolution slowdown.

I think RAM is OK, the Server does not use swap and i do not know how to solve
it...

Are there some other parameters/workaround to avoid this slowdown problems?

Thank you, cheers!

Francesco, from Italy
