Had you tried spamdyke before SMTP scanner? Just curious.
(Of course, spamdyke won't do you much good with SMTP scanner or anything else sitting up front - spamdyke needs to be on the edge).

Why am I running SMTP scanner? It does a super job of keeping virus, spam and other nasties from hogging the CPU load on the QMT machine. I'm running 3 of these scanners in parallel. They all pass back into QMT. They are processing about 300k delivery attempts a day and allowing about 2% through.

I'm not sure if I have a problem or not. I'm running Symantec SMTP scanner in front of my QMT machine.
Why?

I look in the Qmail toaster admin stats graphs and clam hasn't hit a virus
since last September. Before that it seemed to be getting a few a day. Now I
would like to think the Symantec gateway is doing a really great job but I
seriously doubt it's getting a perfect score.

Clam AV is running and I ran the toaster through newmodel just a couple weeks
ago. Is there something I'm missing that may have clam broken? What can I
look at to check for problems?

Thanks,
Phil
