because after my user got the error, I tried again sending 5MB of email
to Yahoo, no problem
So I am just curious how long is default time out for SMTP? and where I
can increase it

I have seen this with Outlook as well. After the message is transmitted,
the connection remains open while the toaster scans for virus. This can
time out on large messages. To fix it, adjust Outlook's timeout setting.
I think the default is 1 minute. 3 minutes has worked well for me.
